Shawna Bais RN DVM

Shawna Bais is both a registered nurse and a veterinarian who believes in making a difference through providing compassionate care to those in need, whether they are 2 or 4-legged. Her mission is to encourage people to live a life full of passion, and inspire them to focus on what is most important in life while still remembering to laugh at the good times. She has authored a variety of books including Catching Achoo, Life’s a Picnic, Then Come the Ants, and Whompastoodles & Stilt Legged Water Birds, all of which come from her many years of experience working as first a Pediatric Registered Nurse to then owning and running three different veterinary hospitals and all the myriad of stories and very diverse experiences she has gone through over the years. She currently lives with her husband and children in WA where she continues to be inspired by the antics of her own menagerie of animals and the many patients she sees every day at her busy veterinary practice.
