Lorraine Edwards

Lorraine Edwards is an international speaker, life purpose coach, and the host of Live, Love, & Marry Wizerr, a YouTube podcast geared toward helping single and married women make wise decisions in their lives and relationships. While initially a reluctant speaker, she eventually embraced the gift God gave her to speak and present seminars on relationships to single individuals and married couples, a unique opportunity and privilege for a single woman. She has been sought out for her godly relationship advice since she was a teenager because she was a voracious reader of Christian books on courtship, marriage, parenting, and relationship issues. Married women have consulted with her during difficult times in their marriages and have applied the counsel and seen God change their hearts and, in time, their marriages.

Lorraine believes that since all truth comes from God, He can use anyone He chooses as a vessel for that truth. After God showed her through a parable that “you don't need to have the disease to know the cure”, she stopped questioning the opportunities to speak to married couples because she knows that God has and will continue to use her to help Christian marriages despite her single status. She has received rave reviews from married couples who have attended her seminars despite their initial skepticism.

The Holy Spirit inspired her to start a speaking and coaching business targeting single women so she could help them start healthy, godly marriages by being healthy and connected to God first. Her goal is to help them embrace their singleness and the reality that God has purposed that for them now; learn to walk in their purpose so they are fully who He created them to be; to prepare for the partner they desire so they choose from a place of wholeness and not brokenness. She believes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

She combines her religious and spiritual foundation with an educational background. She has a BA in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Lorraine worked full-time as the Area Social Services Manager for The Salvation Army in Richmond, Petersburg, and Hopewell, Virginia for eight years before she was called to ministry at the Longburn Adventist College in Palmerston North, New Zealand, where she served as an Assistant Dean in the Girls Boarding House in 2020.

Lorraine loves true crime podcasts, particularly around wrongful convictions and is a supporter of the Innocence Projects and their mission. She believes as a Christians we are called by God to do justice and love mercy, and that should apply to everyone.

For fun, she geeks out over jigsaw puzzles, ideally 1000+ piece or more, but nothing less than 500 pieces. She also enjoys hanging with her family and friends and sharing a good belly laugh. If she could avoid the cold for the rest of her life, she would and she would spend all her time near the beach and a beautiful sunset. During the grand slam events, she will be found watching tennis while trying to work on her computer.

Since returning to the States from New Zealand, she is enjoying her new role as Author/Speaker/Podcaster at A SINGLE Mission.
