Wayne Davies

Since 2007, Wayne Davies has worked as a professional economist. For the first ten years of his career, he worked for the Queensland Government. He spent nine years working for the Department of Transport and Main Roads and one year for Building Queensland. In 2017, Wayne started his own economics consultancy. He advised the government on project evaluation processes, techniques, and models.

Wayne’s main focus has been his economic blogs and content on the Hive content creation platforms (Hive is a decentralised blockchain and ecosystem that supports Web 3.0 content creation). Wayne’s posts focus on using economics to explain real-world phenomena as well as how economics can be applied to improve our lives.

Wayne is not a fiction author. However, he believes fiction can be used to describe and explain potential real-world phenomena to a broader audience. The experiences and journeys of fictional characters can bring to life concepts that are too technical and tedious to explain to most audiences. Wayne’s attempt at fictional writing is faster-paced and more direct than most other fiction content.
