Jerry Owens

Born in a small town in Virginia, I have since been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively for work, living in and exploring Asia for several years, and then Europe for over five years. Those years of traveling fueled my imagination through the experiences had and things learned of other peoples and cultures. I am now retired and exploring the literary world. I have always been an avid reader. Some might say, bookworm. History, genealogy, historical thrillers, and historical fiction are my literary passion, though I will read anything I can get my hands on, especially the classics. In 2021, I published the ancestry of my grandfather and the further back in time my research took me the more interesting the facts and stories became. So, I thought I would expand on those stories and try writing a historical fiction fantasy based on what I found during my twenty years of research. That is how I became an author, and now one book has turned into three, and a planned series of seven more books...fingers crossed. Learning the business part of being an author has been a struggle, and a labor of love. They say, and I paraphrase, 'Everyone has at least one book in them'. I am hoping for a few more and will continue to write simply for the love of writing and learning.
