I became a writer in the second grade when I wrote a piece of fiction based on a scenario I’d built in my basement, recreating – yet improving – the story of “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” with my GI Joes. There was more action and way more violence than the R-rated film, yet my teacher raved about how well-written the story was. It was just an idea that I came up with on the fly for the sake of completing the assignment but my passion for the written word has only continued to grow ever since.
I live just outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, with my ever-so-supportive rock star wife. Though my background is in short fiction and horror stories, nowadays I prefer to write non-fiction in the form of observational essays.
