The catharsis of fictionalizing trauma has saved my life. It’s that simple. I was assaulted several times as a young boy. Dealing with it throughout my life has been an incredible challenge, but writing has always been there for me. Writing heals.

Those close to me see that writing gothic fiction novels is an authentic dream come true that sustains me daily. I’m always working, whether it’s my mind or my pen.

I’ve been writing ever since I learned cursive in elementary school. I fell in love not only with storytelling, but also with the aesthetic beauty of the written word.

I published The Haunting of Chateau de Mornay in 2024, and it’s a deeply passionate piece. My goal was to pen a modern-day gothic story that harkened back to Neo-Gothic classics from Stoker, Shelley, and my personal favorite, Poe. I linger in a dark, slow-burn gothic aesthetic, intertwined with personal tragedy and growth. I want to reinvigorate the gothic genre with modern, relatable ideas, captivating characters, and new fans.

I write what I know. Many allegorical parallels to people and events from my life give my novels a unique, personal touch and have created a strong, loyal fan base.

The best art grows underground in our winters of despair and springs to life when we are finally strong enough to tell our stories. The best art comes from struggle, not success.
