The idea for Shaam was born out of a desire to help children affected by the Syrian war. Our founder and activist, saw firsthand the devastating impact of the war on children in her community. She realized that these children needed more than just food and shelter –they needed comfort, companionship, and a sense of normalcy. That’s when she came up with the brilliant idea for Shaam, a doll that would bring joy and comfort to children affected by war.
