Michael Comiskey

Michael Comiskey writes short stories but primarily writes poems, many of them Appalachian. He wrote his first poem at age 50. At age 66 he published his first volume of poetry, titled South of Pittsburgh: Poems from Northern Appalachia. He lives in his hometown of Connellsville, Pennsylvania with his wife Mary Ann. He's retired from teaching political science and economics at Penn State.
