I enjoy creating with words, with language, and I enjoy storytelling. Consequently, I found it to be an immensely fulfilling enterprise to marry that enjoyment with my life experiences in order to craft my debut novel, Shadows Over Spectral Waters, and more recently, my second novel in The Detective Sergeant Mickey MacKinnon Series, entitled Fatal Presumptions. Those life experiences, in order of importance, include: partnering in a long-standing marriage to a wonderful woman who I trust implicitly; raising two children who have taught me as much as I have taught them; consummating a successful career as a Child Psychologist; completing post-graduate training in wonderful Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax; engaging a life-long passion for reading mystery and crime fiction novels: and, dealing with the host of emotional ups and downs that have been part of a well-travelled life.
I am a private person - reserved, I would suggest. In life, I’m that person you have all encountered who works hard behind the scenes but prefers others to front the endeavor.
If you are a fan of crime fiction with an edge and of the psychological thriller, I think you will enjoy reading Shadows Over Spectral Waters and Fatal Presumptions.
