Tim Beanland

Dr Tim Beanland is Head of Knowledge and Learning at Alzheimer's Society. He started there in 2010, at a time when his late mother was being diagnosed with vascular dementia. Tim is a media spokesperson for the Society and often pops up on radio, on TV and in print.

Tim has published in academic journals and widely on the internet, but 'Mind Games' is his first book.

He has a BA in biochemistry and a PhD in evolutionary biology, both from Cambridge. Tim lives in Winchester. He and his wife have three sons, one grand-daughter, two cats and a dog.
