Richard Todd Devens

Richard Devens is classically trained professional pianist and piano instructor. In addition, he is a multi award-winning writer who has written for newspapers, music magazines, and martial arts magazines. He is co-author of the book "Marital For Kids,"

Weatherhill, Inc. 1997. This was the first "soup to nuts" guide to the martial arts for children. "Rational Polemics," published in 2013, was the recipient of a 2nd place award in philosophy at the 20th Annual Colorado Independent Publishers Association EVVY Book Awards, in 2014. "Dialogues with the Wise Woman," published in 2024, was a Literary Titan Book Award Winner, and the winner of "Best Philosophy" in the Pacific Book Awards. He speaks throughout the country on a multitude of topics, and is a firm believer that the power of the human spirit can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
