Doug Horner

Doug Horner is a journalist and editor from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He writes essays and deeply reported features on a variety of topics, but is most drawn to stories that have a strong personal or emotional dimension that brings depth and context to broader issues. Horner studied philosophy and English at the University of Calgary and journalism at Mount Royal University. His first book, Back from the Deep, explores the world of underwater search and recovery and was published by Steerforth Press in the spring of 2024.
