Michael McNeilly lives in Gainesville, Georgia with his wife Mary Ann. Michael is passionate about helping parents and their children connect by sharing fun, adventurous content that teaches solid family values and morals. Michael's late grandmother "Mamaw" originally created the Amos McCool character when she told her grandchildren bedtime stories. Michael has carried on this tradition and brought Amos back to life! Each story follows Amos on a fun adventure, followed by family discussion questions, and a fun activity for the reader. In 2010, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and his wife Sandra nominated The Adventures of Amos McCool as a finalist for the Governor's Choice Award.
In addition to Amos McCool, Michael has written other children's short stories for various organizations as well as co-authored The Guide to College Majors and Career Choices with Lee Ellis.
