Born in Sidon, Lebanon, she studied French literature at Saint Joseph's University and was awarded a French government scholarship for postgraduate studies in Language Sciences. She wrote her doctoral thesis on 'Dialogue in the Cairo Trilogy' by the Egyptian Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz (2010), and has taught and researched textual linguistics, discourse analysis and academic writing. She has been attached to the 'Dialogue of Cultures' Chair between Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and al-Imam University in Saudi Arabia. The author of some fifteen academic articles, she contributed to the collective work "Le féminin, le masculin : l'écriture inclusive en question" and has just published her first collection of poetry, "Les formes libres de la vie", with Lys Bleu Edition (March 2024), available on Amazon.
