Anselmo Knives

Anselmo Knives began in 1957 when Victor Anselmo made his first handmade knife at the age of 12.

Victor's skill in craftsmanship and design made him one of the godfathers of the American handmade knife making community, creating an enduring legacy with his well-crafted blades, prolific output, and single-minded commitment to excellence.

He is most known for the innovation of the solid-handle channel-style balisong knife, the construction used today by all the major manufacturers, and his most glorious brainchild the Beastmaster Sword, the sword from the 1982 fantasy movie, "The Beastmaster," the only fantasy sword constructed as a weapon and not a movie prop.

In 2015, Victor's son, John Anselmo, took over Anselmo Knives and pivoted the business from custom knives to the creation of legacy pieces and the authorship of stories around them, "The Beastmaster Sword Adventures" series, a fantasy adventure anthology collection written in the classic pulp style, being chief among them.
