William Dow

I retired from the United States Air Force in January 2005 and currently work for the United States Air Force as a civilian on a military installation. I am currently a facility manager for several military aircraft hangars. I have four children, all grown, out on their own, and doing well.

I have always had interests in history, science, and science fiction. For me, history comes alive when events are put in context of what else was going on at the same time. Combined with the advent of some of the extraterrestrial theories out there, I had a mind to combine my interests into a single manuscript.

I have had bits and pieces of this story floating around in my head for some time, but only as separated puzzle pieces. A couple years ago, a good friend encouraged me to sit and draft my story and put the puzzle pieces together. After three months of researching how to write, writing daily, and well over a year of editing, rewriting, researching, and re-editing, my submission is the culmination of the story that fell out. Though I have written for the military in the form of appraisals, awards, and technical writings, this is my first creative writing.
