Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I'm Heidi, and I'm so glad you're here. My life is a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of adventure, love, teaching, and a whole lot of fur!

I live in a close-knit rural town with my family, which includes my husband Steve, our three kids Abigail, John, and Emma, our three adorable dogs, and a charming hedgehog. Our home is always bustling with activity, whether we're planning surprise road trips, hitting the slopes, or simply enjoying the tranquility of nearby lakes.

I cherish the strong support system I have, surrounded by an incredible group of friends who are more like family. My love for animals runs deep, but I must admit, I have a soft spot for the furry ones and steer clear of reptiles!

My professional journey has been a fulfilling one, with over two decades spent nurturing young minds as a coach, mentor, and educator. Whether it's guiding a volleyball serve, playing basketball, or inspiring creativity in Destination Imagination teams, I find immense joy in helping children discover their potential. In my current role in the Title One program, I'm dedicated to supporting students in their academic growth, particularly focusing on reading, writing, and math, and providing extra care to those battling dyslexia.

I believe that the true joy of living lies in the little moments – a child's laughter, a dog's wagging tail, and the warmth of community.
