Autumn McClellan: Elementary teacher, literacy advocate, and mother of 4 boys. Based in the Pacific Northwest, she's on a mission to ignite a passion for reading in her students. She has spent many years helping young readers discover the joy and confidence that comes from reading independently. While working in the classroom she noticed a gap in the world of early nonfiction books-many were either too difficult for beginning readers or felt too "babyish" for curious kids who wanted real facts and exciting topics. That inspired her to create a collection of engaging, fact-filled nonfiction books designed especially for readers 4-12. With fascinating animal topics, vivid photographs, and easy-to-read text, her books help children build reading skills while exploring the amazing world around them. Autumn's goal is to create books that are fun, interesting, and "grown up" enough to spark a lifelong love of reading and learning. When not in the classroom, she's hiking with Stella, her faithful dog, or lounging in a hammock with a good book. A movie enthusiast and talented baker, Autumn finds joy in family time and capturing the beauty of sunsets through her lens.
