Daniel is a native to the Pacific Northwest, married with three children. He is a retired Washington Army National Guard master sergeant. As a father of three, he enjoyed reading stories to his children. His first story, "The Ogre and the Princess" came to him immediately after an interaction between him and his youngest daughter. He immediately wrote out the whole story. Not knowing how to get it illustrated or published, it sat on his computer for over ten years. In the meantime, his oldest daughter developed her skills as an artist and Daniel asked her to illustrate his book. By pure chance, Daniel met the founding members of the Writer Cooperative of the Pacific Northwest and thanks to their mentorship, he published his first children's book within months.
Daniel's stories are inspired by his own family, friends, and pets. Daniel enjoys reading his stories at local bookstores, elementary schools, and other public venues both paid and unpaid.
