Welcome to Dr. Jean Chen’s author page! Dr. Chen’s life’s work is dedicated to advancing our understanding of age-related neurological diseases using innovative MRI technology.
Currently, Dr. Chen serves as a Professor in the Department of Medical Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Additionally, she holds the position of Senior Scientist at the Rotman Research Institute and is honoured to hold the Tier II Canada Research Chair in Neuroimaging of Aging.
Dr. Chen completed her MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary, followed by a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University. After completing her doctoral studies, she pursued postdoctoral training at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Harvard Medical School. She subsequently took up a faculty position at the University of Toronto. At the Chen Lab, she conducts advanced MRI research toward the goal of improving outcomes for sufferers of age-related cognitive impairment.
