Mark Arrigo

Mark Arrigo is a Maltese-British photographer, filmmaker and published author.

‍Mark’s career began as a documentary filmmaker, traveling the world to tell compelling human stories, from community supply truck drivers in Pakistan traversing the dangerous roads through the Himalayas to NGO’s in Europe supporting refugees. Eventually he settled in London where he brought his distinctive visual style to the commercial photography and film industry. Today, he is recognised in both mediums for crafting evocative fashion films, music videos and advertising campaigns while maintaining a parallel focus on fine-art photography. His work is defined by its poetic visual language and strong narrative sensibility.

‍A significant aspect of Mark’s journey has been his dedication to projects with a social impact. Deeply influenced by his roots in documentary filmmaking, he has contributed extensively to initiatives addressing human displacement. In 2016, he co-founded a charity in the Calais Jungle refugee camp, establishing a woodworking shop that built shelters for those in need.

‍Mark’s commitment to these causes is also reflected in his creative work. He co-wrote and co-directed the award-winning short film 'Adnan', which qualified for BAFTA consideration and garnered numerous accolades, including Best Global Short at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. This moving story of a young refugee was later adapted into a children’s picture book and published by Quarto, raising substantial funds for the humanitarian organization Choose Love—a charity Mark continues to actively support.

‍Mark is also passionate about landscape photography and was commissioned for a three-year photography project, documenting tennis courts across Europe. The project culminated in the publication of his book, 'Courtship: For the Love of Tennis', which was published by Rizzoli in 2025.

Mark’s primary focus is his fine-art photography and filmmaking which excel in the realms of fashion and advertising. His work has been featured in prestigious publications such as the Sunday Times, Vogue, and Monocle. With a unique ability to fuse emotion, artistry, and storytelling, Mark is a creative powerhouse who elevates brands with depth and originality.
