Darling Salas

Darling Salas (2000) is a systems engineer, language enthusiast, and poet. She began her literary journey in 2021 with “El amor en tiempos de nieve,” her first novel. Since then, she has built a body of work shaped by poetry, fiction, and an exploration of grief, loss, memory, and reconstruction.

She is the author of “El último recuerdo que dejó tu muerte,” her best-known work, as well as “Sobreviviendo a las Sombras,” “La flor que atravesó el pavimento,” and other titles. She has also contributed to two international anthologies.

Her writing emerges from those things that are sometimes difficult to name. Her books do not seek to offer simple answers to pain, but to accompany those who have had to learn to live with what remains after a goodbye.

For Darling, writing is also a way of preserving memory: of the people who left, of the wounds they left behind, and of everything that, even after breaking, finds a way to remain.
