Amy Mitchell Pooley

Austinite Amy Mitchell Pooley is the founding member of the entertainment law boutique firm Amy E Mitchell, PLLC, which primarily serves creative professionals in the music, film, and television industries. Amy is also a creative in her own right who performs as a vocalist, keyboardist, and occasional ukulele player.

Drawing from her lifetime of experiences as a performer and 20 years as a solopreneur, Amy frequently advises other attorneys and creatives on how to navigate and build a career in the entertainment industry. In fact, her strong desire to educate, guide, and protect creatives from doing bad deals and lawyers from doing legal jobs they hate has inspired The Entertainment Law Mama project, which officially launches in 2024. However, loving on her three children will always be her #1 “mama” gig.

Amy earned both her B.A. (1999) and J.D. (2004) from the University of Texas at Austin.
