Christy Wise

Christy Wise’s poetry chapbook, Tangible Terrain, was released by Finishing Line Press in April 2024. Her poems and essays appear in Red Flag Poetry, Bayou Magazine, Main Street Rag, and The Dewdrop, among other magazines.

Christy’s poem “Tony’s Cocoon” was a finalist in the Julia Darling Memorial Poetry Prize. Christy’s essay “Memory Book” was designated a notable essay in Best American Essays of 2010.

With her mother, Nancy Baker Wise, Christy co-authored A Mouthful of Rivets: Women at Work in World War II, a collection of oral histories by women who worked in non-traditional jobs during the Second World War. (Jossey-Bass, Inc. 1994)
