I've read bedtime stories to my 8-year-old son every day since he was born & we both love the time spent reading together and the places good writing and illustrations take our imaginations and the discussions and laughter that good stories elicit.

I have over the years put together some short stories of my own which my son loves & thought I would take a shot at self-publishing them.

My collection of stories turned out to be called "Smiles & Sunbeams, Heartwarming Tales for Kids" which was a pleasure to create, especially when bringing the characters to life with fun illustrations.

I love creating stories that are both entertaining and fun for children but have an underlying moral or opportunity for learning within the story. I will eventually create standalone picture books from each tale within the Smiles & Sunbeams collection, just like the first of the series “The Little Monster Who Wanted to be Big and Scary”, which is a detailed picture book following the exploits of Gobbly as he embarks on a jolly journey of self-discovery.

Hopefully other families enjoy reading the stories in Smiles & Sunbeams together as much as we do.
