Ryan M. Nefdt

Ryan M. Nefdt is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cape Town and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, UK. He works in a number of fields related to cognitive science and artificial intelligence. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from St Andrews and an MSc in Logic from Amsterdam. He has conducted research at some of the foremost universities and institutes in the world including MIT, Yale, Edinburgh, Pittsburgh, The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, and many others. He has written two books, Language Science, and Structure (OUP 2023) and The Philosophy of Theoretical Linguistics (CUP 2024) and authored dozens of articles and book chapters.
