RJ Casey
RJ Casey was born in Las Vegas, NV, USA. He spent his earlier decades in Army Special Forces (18A/18D/65D), USAF Special Warfare (PJ/CRO), and other government agencies with combat tours on four continents. RJ continues working on projects and missions for Special Operations, Multidomain Recovery, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response.
That foundation has led RJ to several other industries and adventures. Among them, he was the first hire and continues contracting for SpaceX's Astronaut Rescue and Recovery Team. RJ has co-founded multiple companies, including Brigands Co and Four Branches Bourbon. He is a scientific diver for marine conservation projects with Force Blue and donates time to 501(c)(3) non-profits like the Third Option Foundation to help fellow veterans. In the film industry, RJ conducts preproduction training and is a rescue coordinator, military advisor, script consultant, actor, and an award winning stuntman for TV and feature film, most known for his work on Extraction 2 (2023), Dunkirk (2017), and Inception (2010).
RJ found writing cathartic early in life. He has co-authored the novels Red Door into Space (2025), Motel 7 (2025), and Green Lights of Baghdad (2023). He co-authored the plays Boogieban (3rd Edition 2024), Anniversary of Miss Nanette Pringle (2001), and Guilt by Association (2000). RJ has also contributed to the “Irregular Warfare: A case study of the CIA and US Army Special Forces operations in Northern Iraq from 2002-2003” paper by LTG (Ret) Kenneth Tovo, former USASOC Commander and founder of DOL Enterprises, and Michael P. Mulroy, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East and co-founder of Lobo Institute, published 2021. He has also contributed to the “Residue” paper by Dr. Preston Cline, co-founder of the Mission Critical Team Institute and Senior Fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, published 2020.
