Candice Gardner

With 30 years’ experience in professional skin care and skin care education, Candice Gardner is an active advocate for technical and vocational training. She participates widely in standards development and employer steering for government recognised and regulated organizations to advance the Beauty, Aesthetics and Wellbeing sector.

Holding various advisory and committee roles, including for the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) and the DEI Committee for the British Beauty Council, she was recognized in 2023 with a BABTAC Beyond Award for contribution to industry.

Candice is a Member of Council and Advisory Board for the City & Guilds of London Institute and a Princess Royal Training Award Alumna. In 2024 she was invited to join the assessment team for these prestigious evidence-based awards.

With a 25-year tenure at global skincare brand Dermalogica, Candice is an experienced leader in skin care service and skills-led education programme design and development. With a specialist interest is connecting skin science and product technology with the practicalities of professional skin care, she has lectured around the world, writes frequently for trade press and comments regularly for consumer press. Candice is a member of the Dermalogica Global Curriculum and the Medi-Aesthetic Task Forces contributing to service, training and education programme design and development.

Candice co-authored the book 'Leading from the Heart' which reached #1 Best Seller in UK. USA, Canada and Australia.
