Bobby Detrick

As a father, my children have constantly inspired my writing. I want to prove to them and everyone else that most of the time the only person holding you back is yourself. I've always enjoyed creating - be it art, writing, producing, or voice acting, I'd say being a creator is who I am. So, when I started taking a writing class with my good friend Jesse, I knew creating fictional worlds and telling stories from them would be a passion of mine.

My writing style aims to be true to the character. I believe most of us don't speak in perfect grammar, so you'll find imperfect grammar in my writing comfortable if it matches who the character is. I also strive for believable fiction - I recognize that everything comes from something and isn't infinite. So, if I have magic in a story, that magic will come from somewhere. I write and create worlds Im interested in and am not locked to one genre. So my first Novel might be horror, but then I'll dive into fantasy.
