Albert’s relationship with literature has always been a stormy one and until a sudden inspiration one night, he never had the slightest intention of writing a work of fiction himself. The sudden compulsion to write 'The sweet scent of evil' has been one of the greatest surprises of his life.
He has spent well over 50 years working with young people, both as a volunteer and as a professional educator. He had a career teaching physics and retired in 2006 from his position as Head of the Science Faculty at Whitgift School in Croydon.
Albert is married to Elizabeth. They have 3 grown up children and 6 grandchildren. As a couple, they continue to present science shows for schools and other interested groups. They are leaders and administrators of a thriving group for children and young people. In addition, they are trained and active as Lay Preachers.
