Hello everybody! In 1996, I took a crash course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and travelled the world teaching; it was an experience not to be missed! I experienced earthquakes in Turkey and Greece and severe flooding in Saudi Arabia. The upside was that I met thousands of extraordinary people along the way. I taught students of all ages and levels. After teaching in Turkey, I taught in Poland, Spain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Mexico; I also held educational conferences in Indonesia, Quetta, Balochistan, Thailand and the Philippines. For a couple of years, I had the position of Director at a London business college; later, I studied a proofreading course at the prestigious Imperial College, Kensington, London. In 2016, I gained the Diploma in Hypnotherapy as well as taking part on some accredited Life Coaching courses. I've always been somewhat spiritual in nature. Eventually, I became Project Manager of the English Language Unit at Al Baha University, Al Aqeeq in the rugged Saraat mountains of Saudi Arabia.
At the time of writing, I'm on holiday in Jersey in the British Channel Islands. The funny thing is I didn't get into teaching until I was in my early forties - it just goes to show that you can do anything you want to provided you are willing to take that extra step to reinvent yourself.
