Dr Rose Stewart is a multi award-winning Consultant Clinical Psychologist in diabetes. She works clinically in the NHS where she runs a service and is a national lead. Dr Stewart is the chair of the UK Diabetes Psychology Network and is an advisor to national diabetes charities. Dr Stewart is passionate about supporting the psychological needs of all people living with diabetes, particularly through early interventions that enable people to access support and resources before they reach a crisis point.
Dr Stewart’s books in the Talking Type 1 range aim to fill a much-needed gap in resources to support psychological wellbeing in people living with type 1 diabetes. The books can be used on their own or with support from a diabetes healthcare professional as part of a guided self help intervention. With more than 310,000 copies distributed across the UK, the Talking Type 1 range has become an integral part of NHS diabetes services.
