Susie is a full-time freelance writer/author who lives with her eternally patient husband in a lovely, historic southern town 30 minutes south of Atlanta.
After the success of her first book, “The Veterinarian’s Wife, a Memoir” (2022), her new book, "Something I Said" (2023) is a collection of weekly columns she has written over the past several years for her local newspaper, The Newnan-Times Herald.
Her columns range from food to humor to important conversations and opinions about people and life in the world around us. They have been so popular with readers she put them in book form for a larger audience to appreciate. Both books are available on Amazon and everywhere books are sold.
Her children are grown, her grandchildren are not, her husband is a retired veterinarian, and she is retired from a long career as a professional vocalist/performer. As an empty nester she earned a BFA degree in Art.
Always inspired, often opinionated, and sometimes even controversial, she will never retire from writing.
