Catherine DiNuzzo is a Catholic wife, mother, author, international speaker, and Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. Catherine also operates Sacred Heart Mental Wellness, a website with mental health information, resources, assessments, videos, downloads, and a merchandise shop for Catholics who want to live a mentally fit lifestyle, receive helpful mental health information, and promote devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. (Catherine utilizes traditional cognitive-behavioral counseling techniques - all through a Catholic lens - specifically on the topics of mental wellness, anxiety, relationships, boundaries, and more. Visit her website by searching Sacred Heart Mental Wellness.)
She has been traveling and speaking internationally for over 15 years on the topics of mental wellness, as well as having done extensive work for FOCUS, EWTN (USA/Vatican/Ireland), The Military Council of Catholic Women, numerous Catholic radio stations and podcasts around the globe, and more. Catherine is available to speak or offer training at your parish, campus, school, conference, retreat, diocese, or group.
Catherine started off as an author when she wrote the highly-rated bestselling book “The Catholic Guide Through Anxiety” as a tool for Catholics, whether they struggle with anxiety themselves or want to know how to support their loved ones who do. The book is simple (not overly academic) yet it contains empowering information, teaching the reader the basics of what is naturally happening in the body when the anxious response is sparked and giving them strategies, tools, and methods to overcome their anxiety. Readers praise Catherine for finally providing the resources they’ve been looking for and needing so badly. Perhaps the most amazing aspect of her first book being completed is that Catherine is dyslexic and never thought she'd be an author. During the early weeks of the 2020 pandemic, she knew that there was going to be a larger need for mental health resources (especially Catholic resources) than what the counselors could provide, so she decided to overcome her boundaries and utilize the help of a co-editor to get her content into book format.
Catherine earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and her undergraduate degree from Emporia State University in Kansas.
Catherine and her husband, Dave, live in Kansas in the United States with their four amazing children.
