Brad Bourne

After growing up with sexual abuse, my father’s alcoholism, and neglect, I was diagnosed as having Complex Trauma and Attachment Disorder. My most prominent symptoms include fear, anger and rage, addiction, and shame. Through therapy, the support of the Adult Children of Alcoholics organization, and my faith in a higher power, I have healed significantly.

Unfortunately, too many children have grown up in homes dominated by the effects of addiction and sexual abuse. For most, the impact is never understood or treated. This book is the story of my childhood and my path through the healing process. It is dedicated to all these children, forgotten and abused, afraid, and still living with their pain. I hope it provides them with inspiration to pursue their own journey through the healing process.
