Jo Bates

Jo is an English teacher from Nottingham, who stayed in Norfolk after graduating from UEA in 2002. She has taught in a wonderful secondary school for 11 years and has treasured helping students fall in love with literature.

Jo is writing a series of books to support students in unlocking the GCSE exams. The books are designed to compliment what students have learned in the classroom; sometimes one small addition from a new perspective can make something ‘click.’

Jo loves holidays in France, following Notts County, painting portraits, making music, and listening to Fontaines DC.
