I was always fascinated by relationships, even as far back as childhood I remember observing my parents their friends and my extended family. I wondered why some relationships were short lived while others lasted a lifetime. I wondered why some relationships appeared to be full of contempt, while others were warm and loving. I wondered if it was a matter of finding the right person, some magical skill that some people possessed, or just plain luck. I found my answer in 1985 during a talk by the late Sydney Banks. It was a defining moment in my life. The quality of my life changed I felt more peace and serenity than I had ever known. I felt more compassion and love for others as my understanding, of what Mr. Banks spoke of in his talks, grew. I decided to become a marriage and family therapist to share what I had learned. The success stories confounded me - I wondered how one person changing could improve a relationship between two people. I shared my stories with Christine Heath, also an LMFT and student of Mr. Banks teachings. We decided to write this book together and we also interviewed couples who were students of Mr. Banks. We wrote the book around a recording of his called: "Thought and Marriage" This compellation of stories may seem like we made them up, but I can assure they are all true and revelations that are available for anyone who reads "The Secret of Love, Unlock the Mystery, Unleash the Magic"
