Shari Collins

Shari Collins’ career spans across education, training/development, and DEI. With over 20 years in the DEI field, Shari enjoys speaking and consulting across the globe in various industries. In her most esteemed contract, the National Education Association, she is certified to facilitate 24 professional development courses for educators nationwide. She maintains her teaching certifications in both Nebraska and Iowa. Shari recently wrote a chapter on “Inclusion” for the Parent Ready Book Series, Grade 12, sponsored by the Chief Council of State School Officers.

She graduated from Hastings College with a Bachelor of Arts, and from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a Master of Science.

Shari loves reading and learning, caring for her plants, traveling, and spending time with her husband, son, daughter, and their 2 rescue Yorkie sisters.

Shari was named the DEI Director for HR-Nebraska State Council, an affiliate of SHRM for 2024-2025. She is serving her 3rd year on the Omaha Chamber’s CODE (Commitment to Opportunity, Diversity and Equity) Planning Team. She is a Board Member for HRAM (Human Resource Association of the Midlands), serves as the co-chair of the HRAM DEI Committee, chair of the HRAM IDEAL Award, and is the HRAM Liaison to the CODE initiative with the Chamber. Shari is also a national facilitator for Open Sesame’s DEI Club.

In addition to speaking at numerous conferences around the country, Shari is speaking at 3 international conferences in 2024 – San Jose, Costa Rica; Lisbon, Portugal; and Galway, Ireland!
