Niall Bourke is originally from County Kilkenny, Niall now lives in London where he teaches English. His work has won or been shortlisted for numerous awards including the Costa Short Story Award, the Michael McLaverty Award, the Hennessey New Irish Writing Award and the ASOL Tom-Gallon Trust Award. He graduated from the Goldsmiths University of London’s teacher/writer MA in 2015 with a distinction. His debut novel, LINE, was published in Ireland and the UK by Tramp Press in spring 2021. It was shortlisted for the Fitzcarraldo novel prize and was selected for The Cheltenham Literary Festival's panel of New Irish Writing.
