David E. Missen is an English lecturer from Wiltshire, England. He was runner-up for both the Writers College (2024) and Michael Terence (2025) international short story awards and was short-listed for both the 2024 and 2025 Parracombe Prize. His work was short-listed for the 2025 Wells Literature Prize and has appeared in Stand Magazine, Discourse Literary Journal and other smaller publications. It's Okay To Cry: Notes on Early Fatherhood and Other Short Stories, is his debut anthology, consisting of memoirs and short fictions. His debut novel, Unwanted Children, is scheduled for an early 2027 release. He lives with his wife and three young daughters, where he drinks copious amounts of coffee, reads constantly, and writes in those rare moments of solitude.
