Before sweetriot, Sarah was working with the Internet in the late 1990s at Yahoo! and Microsoft's MSN, designing and launching products and marketing programs for millions of consumers and for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) / Microsoft partnership during the internet's infancy.
Sarah has lectured around the world at Harvard Business School, the University of Michigan, AIESEC, The White House Global Entrepreneurship Summit and was an appointed speaker for the US State Department on entrepreneurship. Sarah is an advocate for equity in innovation and entrepreneurship and uplifting underrepresented founders. She co-hosts Women Funding the World in NYC and mentors emerging leaders through programs such as Techstars in Paris, Start2 in San Francisco, and Zu by Cirque du Soleil in Montreal.
With a Harvard Business School MBA (fellowship-funded) and University of Michigan BBA (scholarship and work-study funded), her worldview is informed by work and travel across 100+ countries and is grounded in her small-town Midwestern roots.
PS - In case you have not noticed, ;) Sarah is animal obsessed. Sarah has always been high energy and knows her emotional support often comes from pets. She wishes the same for you. Her prior dogs and cats in small-town Michigan were Lassie, Black Beauty, Marie 1, Marie 2, Marie 3, Duffy, and Pippin. Yes, indeed, a true kaleidoscope — a Collie, a Schnauzer, a Tuxedo cat three times, a Cockapoo (before Doodles came), and a Pomeranian. All of them were rescues or gifts. We didn't even mention the rabbit, turtle, parakeet, and Grandpa's hunting horse for Alaska, plus hunting beagles for Michigan's season!
