MH Clay

MH Clay is a poet, playwright, musician, actor, and raconteur living in Dallas, Texas. Since 2009, he has been Poetry Editor of Mad Swirl and is co-host of Mad Swirl’s Open Mic, held every first Wednesday of the month in Dallas. His publication credits include ANGST (Mad Swirl Press 2016); sonoffred (Rebel Poetry Ireland, 2015/2024), and Perhaps This Rain and other precipitations (2007). His play Dorian's Uptown Diner was adapted for screen in 2017, titled Nighthawks, by Praxedis Pictures.

He has been a thrice-featured poet at the Blackwater International Poetry Festival in Ireland (2013, 2014, and 2016) as well as a panelist at Poetry International Rotterdam (2015) and has been an active member of the Dallas literary community for over two decades.
