I became a Christian on the evening of 14 February 1979 at a talk in Cambridge, England. The speaker was David Watson, a well-known Anglican (Church of England) evangelist, who had come to Cambridge University to do a series of talks called, 'The God who speaks'. And He did!​

I went to Cambridge University to study Law at Downing College.​

Before I became a Christian I was fascinated with UFOs and the occult, although I never experimented with the occult. I was drawn in by reading books by Denis Wheatley (especially 'The Devil Rides Out') and William Peter Blatty (you know the book and the film - don't watch it!). On the UFO side I remember reading 'The Warminster Mystery' by George Adamski and a UFO magazine, the name of which escapes me.

Following University I went to Law College in Guildford and when I passed my Law Society exams I was articled to a partner at Norton, Rose, Botterell and Roche, in the City of London. ​

I was a solicitor for about 30 years. I left the Law at the end of 2010 and trained to teach English as a Foreign Language (Celta Cambridge), which I have done since then, in England, India, Bangkok and now online back home. ​

On my return from India I worked as a postman with Royal Mail for about 4 years. Yes, a little unexpected, a little 'unconventional'; it's a long story!​

I am now 'retired'. I have things to say but few places to say them, so I decided to write some books about unusual subjects, because the 'unusual' interests me. I'm also a bit of a contrarian. ​

I'm married, live in South London, and I have four children (two of mine and two step-children - all adults).
