Jennifer Weeks

During her childhood, Jennifer Weeks moved frequently with her family due to her father’s job in engineering. She’s lived in Phoenix, Venezuela, Aruba, and Houston. Living in different places has shown her that all people of diverse backgrounds strive to make connections with others. In her spare time, she wrote short stories and created plays with her younger siblings.

Jennifer became a teacher as a second career. She went back to school in her later 30s, and graduated with a teaching degree from University of Houston Downtown. She worked at a Title 1 school in Sheldon for 6 years. During that time, she worked at building relationships and making her students a top priority. She continues to do this, and strives for excellence among herself and students. When she is not educating young minds, her hobbies include: spending time with her family and dogs, road trips, and cooking.
