Michael Wayland

Michael S. Wayland is Associate Professor of Business Management at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he teaches classes including Business Strategy, Negotiation Law, Labor Relations Law, Personal Finance, Entrepreneur New Venture Capital, and others, since 2007. Michael also is also a nationally sought after professional mediator with Christian Divorce Services and specializes in small and family businesses at time of divorce. Prior to joining Methodist, he worked in various senior management and executive positions for Fortune 500 companies such as Chrysler Motors, PepsiCo, and General Electric. His educational background includes completion of the Advanced Mediation Program at Harvard University Law School, Cambridge Massachusetts, Capital University Law School, Columbus Ohio, Post Graduate program in Mediation and Negotiation, George Washington University, Washington D.C., Doctorate in Human Resource Development (ABD), Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, Masters in Industrial Relations (dispute resolution), and Providence College, Providence Rhode Island, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor Industrial Relations (dispute resolution).
