Dr. Mark Houghton

Dr Mark Houghton’s long clinical career made him want to give women far better information when facing the abortion possibility. Because he saw many women receive poor care and led to decisions they regretted.

So he gathered experts for a guidebook, now in its second edition to help women walk their own journey to an abortion decision -- yes or no. The aim is they end up happier and in better health after deciding.

He qualified MB BS, from Charing Cross Hospital, London in 1980 and holds postgraduate diplomas in obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and anaesthesia. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a member of the Christian Medical Fellowship.
