Mick Reasor

Mick Reasor is a painter, illustrator, writer, and former educator. As an artist his primary motivation is to make paintings he wants to see. If the paintings he wanted to see already existed, he wouldn't have to make them. As a creator of picture books he makes things he wants to read and look at. When he had kids he didn't dumb down his communication with them. They are all now functioning adults (mostly). When he writes for kids he takes the same approach. Mick believes in the benefit of reading aloud to children. He doesn't believe that should be a tedious experience for the adult reader. Mick lives and works in Northern Minnesota. For those who think adversity is good for the soul, the frozen North provides plenty.
