She is proud of her oldest daughter Lexie, her husband and three precious grandsons, and daughter Kate for always challenging her to be better and allowing her to experience the grace and joy of parenting.

Professionally, Lori has over 30 years’ experience in corporate leadership and organizational development. She is a behavioralist and known for her expertise in team systems dynamics, behavioral assessments, motivations, values and leadership development. She has personally coached or developed thousands of leaders globally, and is passionate about helping her clients discover their inner truths. She works one-on-one with leaders and has an expertise in team development.

A behavioralist, her relationship-oriented coaching style is as listener, questioner, truth-teller, connector, and keen observer. She uncannily sees patterns in behavior and situations, and is able to help her clients be intentional about the next move they want to make in their lives and career. She incorporates neuroscience, facilitates stretching the thinking of her clients, calls out inconsistencies, reveals blind spots, that create new insights and awareness.

The creation of this book allowed her to use all of these skills and to get to the core of people’s hearts and stories. She believes in coaching the whole person, not just a work persona, as research shows that when you can bring your whole self to work and life, your productivity and happiness improves.

What she discovered in the research of Adoption Songs is a unique condition that many adoptees face in their worlds, and that is of belonging. The topic of adoption has historically been largely untapped in the marketplace in terms of understanding it and identifying it as a trauma condition. There have been a few resources out there. Recently, Gen Z’s and younger millennials are changing the landscape about adoption and raising the tough questions about the challenges that have been silenced. This offering is intended to enable those curious about this misunderstood population, to be a resource to be a conversation starter, and inspire adoptees to search for their identity. She is hopeful Adoption Songs can create insight into this phenomenon so that everyone that can relate can seek the support to move beyond its limitations and emerge more grounded, connected, renewed, and purposeful.
