John L Swann

Former broadcast journalist John L. Swann’s lifelong fondness for Earl Derr Biggers's immortal creation Charlie Chan led him to revive the original version of the detective, which has been all but eclipsed by film, television and other adaptations.

Swann lives in an old house on a hill in Upstate New York, with academic-author-illustrator and spouse Patricia A. Swann, and loves hearing from readers via Amazon and Goodreads reviews and through his website.

When not plotting the next Chan mystery Swann finds time to play the ukulele and other instruments, with varying degrees of success.
