Barbie Rivera

Barbie Rivera is the founder and principal of H.E.L.P. Miami, an accredited K-12 private school, and the author of "Enough Is Enough!". Her journey in education reform began in 1991 when her six-year-old son was labeled as “mentally handicapped” by his school. Refusing to accept this diagnosis, Barbie started homeschooling and eventually established her own school.

In "Enough Is Enough!", Barbie shares her story of fighting against the overmedication and labeling of children in the education system. Her book critiques the education system and advocates for a workable approach to teaching and learning. Drawing from her experience and research, Barbie challenges educators, parents, and policymakers to re-evaluate educational practices and offers workable solutions.

Barbie’s work has garnered significant attention, making her a prominent voice in education reform. She presents nationwide, raising awareness about individualized education and the dangers of overmedicating children.
